What Does the Gift Tracker Do?
The Gift Tracker Template uses Google Apps Script to:
Send Email Reminders: Reads your Google Sheet (columns like email, gift ideas, dates) to send 7 AM email reminders via Gmail for upcoming gift dates (e.g., "Mom Birthday Gift" on October 2, 2025).
Create Calendar Events: Adds all-day events to your Google Calendar with two 7 AM pop-up reminders (day before and day of) for gift planning, using data like occasion and budget.
Keep Data Private: No data is stored externally—everything runs securely within your Google account (Sheets, Gmail).
How It Works
Purchase and download the template from our webpage or Etsy listing.
Open the Google Sheet and enter gift details (e.g., email, occasion, gift date).
Run the provided script (sendGiftReminderEmails.gs and/or addGiftEventsToCalendar.gs).
Receive automated reminders to stay on top of gifting!
